Welcome to 6th grade! Please use this website to help you stay up to date with events, assignment due dates, test dates, and homework. We will update the homework blog daily.
Make-up Work: A student who has been absent from class is entitled to one day per day missed after returning to school to make up work missed. It is the student's responsibility to ask for missed assignments and get completed work turned in to each teacher.
Late Work: All students will have no more than 5 days to turn in late work. A student's grade for late work will be reduced 5% per day. After 5 days, if the missing work has not been turned in, the student will receive a zero for the assignment.
Extra Credit: We do not allow extra credit work to be turned in to replace test grades or assignments that were poorly done or not turned in. Please make it a habit to study for tests and turn in assignments when they are due.
Lunch Detention/Lunch Work Room - If a student chooses not to attend assigned lunch detention or work room, that student's time will be doubled. If a student still chooses not to attend, he or she will receive a white card and punishment will be assigned by the assistant principal.
Students' cell phones should remain turned off, in their lockers unless instructed by a teacher to use them as a classroom tool. Please do not text your child during the school day as it distracts them from their learning experiences.
